General

Sailing to Dunkerque takes you closer to Belgium, Holland, Germany and beyond. Dunkerque town has many excellent restaurants and shops and is well worth visiting.

This more than 1000 year-old town, deeply rooted in a port and seaboard tradition, stages major events and is known throughout the country for its water sports competitions.

The Nord-Pas de Calais is the third most touristic region of France, so there are plenty of facilities and good quality services.

The port of Dunkerque has been in existance since the 8th century, starting life as a simple fishing harbour. Spanish, English and Dutch have all coveted Dunkerque's strategic location and occupied it.

Also, I think you get free nights if you berth with Premier marinas or with a whole bunch of french ones, do check.
