General

It's a lovely little town, much of it has been destroyed in the bombings of WW2, so most of the architecture is fairly new, but it does have a beautiful countryside and some very well looked after houses.

The butcher by the marina, as you go up the ramp, right in front of you, slightly to the right, is probably the best butcher in France. The sausages are beyond any praise. If you carry on walking past the butchers and turn left, to go up the hill, you will soon find yourself walking through some very beautiful fields, and you are doing this in early summer, the smells are amazing.

Approaches, Routes and Navigation

Watch out for the currents, they are silly around here. Up to 5 knots accross the entrance, easily at springs. Once you are in, tie up at white buoys and await for the lock to open.

Tidal information and currents

Severe currents accross the entrance at springs.
