General

Waterford City is situated on the banks of the River Suir and the Marina is located in the heart of the historic city which dates back to the 9th century.

It is the capital of the South East region with a population of some 50,000 people, in an area of mountains, lakes and spectacular coastal scenery.

It boasts an unbroken line of Mayors & Councils with over 800 years of civic government going back to Anglo-Norman times. Modern Waterford has an urban environment where Ancient Towers and City Walls are in harmony with modern shopping, housing and business premises.

Marinas and Anchorages

Waterford City Marina

The Marina has fully serviced berths available. Full C.C.T.V is in operation. Showers in the Tower Hotel are available nearby. Because of its unique city centre location, there is a wide range of Shops, Restaurants and Bars and other amenitites available as you step ashore. Acess to the marina is by magnetic card - available from Tower Hotel Turn left at the marina exit for about 200 yards - a deposit is required (forgotten how much about 20 euros I think) Open all year with Winter and Summer rates available.
