Description

Ashdod is a quickly growing port city located in the south of the Israeli coastal plane. It's port is the largest one in Israel. A newly built marina is located close to the center of the city, about a mile S from the port. It has some 550 berths. "The blue marina" has two breakwaters that also serve for large vessels mooring (up to 40 m). In addition, there are 6 piers shaped like a menorah (a Jewish ritual chandelier) for smaller vessels (up to 24 m). Excellent all round shelter throughout the year.
