General
Apologies for the poor satellite pic. This town is lovely, not to be missed, even if only staying either side of HW. The harbour is always packed, you will not get in. There is space for two yachts to lie against the drying west wall, see http://www.nbharbour.org.uk/ for a useful pic.
Approaches
Arrive at a point 2 cables south of Craigleith. Identify the leading line 186T of the shoreside beacon (Fixed G) and the pier end (Fixed R) Follow this in until approx 40m off the shore (in summer the club lays outer visitor moorings here). You must be in this close to avoid Maiden Rocks which you will leave to stbd. Now alter course to retain that 40m distance from shore until you are at a position W of the harbour entrance. Here you may choose to lie against the outer wall, take a club inner visitor mooring or anchor close to the west of the moorings both in 0.8m.
