This site is by no means a replacement for the excellent pilot books out there. The likes of Heikell or Cunliffe are still an absolute must, as well as the Admiralty guides or whatever publications you happen to use. They are checked and rechecked for accuracy, so for navigation, use those. However, do drop in to check that the place you are navigating to is still there since the last edition!

Any information read on this site is potentially utterly inacurate and should be used with great care. Official hydrographic and other materials should always be consulted and no responsibility is accepted by site managers or contributors alike for any injury or loss or accident resulting from anything you read here. Anything here should not be relied on for navigation.
