General

Tuapse is a fairly large town. It is traditionally a holiday resort for many russians. It lies on the Black Sea coast of Russia. The harbour provides excellent all round shelter.

Approaches

Go alongside the ferry pier unless otherwise directed

Southern approach

The mountains of the Caucasus give way to green hills with frequent river valleys. The coast is sandy. Railway tracks run alongside the coast and there are frequent trains. There will be commercial vessels anchored outside the harbour at Tuapse. The breakwater will be seen in the closer approach

Northern approach

The white cliffs of the coast give way to sandy beaches close to Tuapse. There will be commercial vessels anchored outside the harbour at Tuapse. The breakwater will be seen in the closer approach
