Fishguard main harbour is very big behind a gigantic breakwater with a lighthouse on the end and contains the ferry port. There are few moorings and areas of fouled ground.

The inner harbour in Lower Town Fishguard is much smaller and dries to a stony mud. The moorings are mainly occupied by locals. There is an anchoring area just outside the breakwater and some more moorings but few available for visitors. There are no facilities in Lower Town except a good pub - Fishguard town centre is up the steep hill
